We will unpack these sometimes daunting-sounding catch-phrases by examining the theological concepts they encapsulate. 

Table Talk begins with a shared meal (6PM) at Luther House and casual conversation over our meal. This is followed by the Bible study (6:30PM).

Open to anyone who wishes to participate, it is geared toward clergy and others interested in historical theology and its application to our time. 

This year we are reading St. Basil the Great’s On the Holy Spirit. The recommended edition is from St. Vladimir Seminary Press. ISBN 0881418765  While this is an English only edition, the Greek text will be made available and used during the sessions.

About the Service
The Divine Service (or Mass) is the main worship service of the Christian Church. It is centered on the preaching of Christ’s Word and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. By these means Christ is present among us with HIs grace, granting forgiveness, life and salvation to all who seek Him in repentance and faith.

 

About Communion
All are welcome at our services. Participation in Holy Communion is limited to those who are members of ULC or of a sister LC-MS or AALC congregation. Please see Pr. Kind before the service if this is your first time at ULC and you would like to commune.
